This week we are trialling this idea: gather round the (virtual) Security Watercooler to share some knowledge, discuss ideas and chat with peers. [UPDATE: You can find our reflections and insights from this trial here]
Many of us are doing the right thing by staying at home to save lives, and that can lead to things becoming monotonous.
The Security Watercooler is ~25 min video calls to break up the day and showcase different viewpoints. Each day of the week aligns to a different part of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
The sessions are conducted via Zoom video call and the joining instructions are sent out to those who have registered at the beginning of the day. The first ~5 minutes are scene setting for the day’s topic, then we open up for broader discussion and contributions from those on the call.
Monday 30th - IDENTIFY
Tuesday 31st @ 14:00 BST - PROTECT
Wednesday 1st @ 15:30 BST - DETECT
Thursday 2nd @ 14:00 BST - RESPOND
Friday 3rd @ 12:00 BST - RECOVER
This post will be updated with links to the notes from each call. If you want to get involved then: Use this Google Form to register and receive joining instructions.
See you at the Security Watercooler!
